Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Li accounts, Li Recovery, Recovery Membership and physical Li products supplied or operated by LogistiCarl Systems Ltd.

Last updated: 23 August 2026
What Li doesLi helps a finder contact the person or organisation responsible for a protected item without requiring personal contact details to be printed on the item. Li facilitates recovery; it does not track property or guarantee that lost property will be found or returned.

1. Agreement and operator

Li is a product and service operated by LogistiCarl Systems Ltd. References to “Li”, “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms mean LogistiCarl Systems Ltd acting in connection with Li.

These terms apply when you create or use a Li account, buy or activate a Li product, use Li Recovery, purchase or maintain a Recovery Membership, or use Li on behalf of an organisation.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits rights that the law says cannot be excluded, including applicable UK consumer rights.

2. Li accounts and account security

You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account and must keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account where that activity results from your failure to take reasonable care of your credentials.

You must not give another person access to your account in a way that bypasses Li's organisation membership or permission controls. Where an organisation needs another person to use Li, that person should use their own Li identity and an appropriate organisation role.

If you believe your account or credentials have been compromised, you should change or recover your credentials promptly and contact us where further assistance is needed.

3. The nature of Li Recovery

Li is a recovery facilitation service. A physical Li QR code provides a route into Li so a finder can begin a Recovery interaction. Li products do not contain GPS, cellular or Bluetooth tracking technology and Li does not provide continuous location monitoring.

Recovery depends on circumstances outside our control, including whether an item is found, whether the finder scans the Li product, whether the product remains readable and attached, and whether the finder chooses to cooperate. We therefore do not guarantee recovery, a particular recovery time, or the conduct of a finder.

Li is not an insurance policy, locksmith service, roadside-assistance service, emergency service, medical service, security service or guarantee against loss, theft or damage.

4. Physical Li products

Physical Li products may include Wallet Cards, Key Tags and Asset Tags. Product contents, prices and any postage or packing charge are shown during the relevant ordering process.

A Li product contains a unique recovery identity. You must not deliberately copy, alter, obscure, replace or misuse its recovery code or identifier in a way that may cause one physical product to resolve to the wrong account, organisation or asset.

Activation links a dispatched product to the appropriate Li account or organisation. You are responsible for giving assets sensible internal names and for keeping any information you add to Li accurate.

Normal wear, scratching, contamination, deliberate damage or changes to the surface of a physical product may affect scan performance. You should periodically check that products attached to important belongings remain present, legible and scannable.

5. Li Recovery Membership

A Starter Pack currently includes the first year of personal Li Recovery Membership. The included period begins and is administered as shown in your account and checkout records.

One active personal Recovery Membership applies across the eligible Li Recovery products connected to that personal account; we do not charge a separate membership for every Key Tag or Wallet Card.

Where Recovery Membership is not active, a physical Li code may continue to resolve through Li so that a finder can begin the Recovery process, but account-side Recovery functionality — including access to or participation in Recovery messaging — may be restricted until the relevant entitlement is active again.

Complimentary or promotional entitlements, where offered, may have separate eligibility, duration and redemption rules shown when they are awarded.

6. Payments, renewal and cancellation of Membership

Payments are processed through Stripe. Prices shown at checkout include the amount you are agreeing to pay for the selected products and any applicable delivery charge.

After the included first year, personal Recovery Membership is currently £6 per year and, where you have set up automatic renewal, renews annually unless you cancel renewal. The price applicable to your next renewal will be the price communicated to you in accordance with applicable law before that renewal becomes due.

You can cancel automatic renewal from the Membership area. Where you cancel renewal for the end of the current period, Membership remains active until that period ends. Li may also provide an option to end a Membership immediately; the consequences of that action are shown before or when you use it.

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe and Li may retry or place the Membership into a payment/grace state. Recovery access may ultimately be restricted if an active entitlement is no longer in place. We will apply any statutory notices, reminders, cooling-off rights or refund rights that apply to an auto-renewing subscription at the relevant time.

No surprise change to your legal rights. These terms do not override statutory cancellation, renewal, reminder or cooling-off rights that apply to your subscription. Consumer subscription law is evolving, and Li will operate the renewal process in accordance with the rules in force when a renewal takes place.

7. Finder messaging, handover and safe conduct

A finder may begin Recovery without creating a Li account. Recovery messaging exists to help the parties coordinate the return or safe handover of the item.

You must not use Recovery to harass, threaten, deceive, impersonate, advertise to, exploit or unlawfully obtain information about another person. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or other information that is unnecessary for the recovery.

Owners should not disclose unnecessary personal information to a finder. If an in-person handover is appropriate, use a sensible public place or an appropriate business or authority handover point. Do not place yourself or another person at unreasonable risk to recover an item.

A finder is an independent third party. Unless we expressly state otherwise, a finder is not our employee, agent or representative, and we are not responsible for promises, demands, representations or conduct of a finder.

Once a Recovery interaction is completed or a handover is recorded, Li may restrict further finder messaging in order to protect the integrity and safety of the completed Recovery.

8. Custom Wallet Cards and Emergency Profiles

A Custom Wallet Card may allow you to create an optional Emergency Profile and select information for physical engraving or display through Li.

You are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness and appropriateness of information you provide. Li does not diagnose, verify, prescribe, interpret or maintain medical information as a healthcare provider. Emergency information is owner-declared information and must not be treated as a substitute for professional medical assessment or emergency services.

Health information is optional and is processed only under the consent and privacy arrangements described in our Privacy Policy and the Emergency Profile flow. If information is physically engraved onto a card, it cannot be changed remotely. You should stop using or replace a card if engraved information becomes inaccurate or inappropriate.

If you provide information about another person, you must have appropriate authority to do so and are responsible for ensuring that the information is handled lawfully and with appropriate care.

9. Organisations and Asset Tags

Li may allow an organisation to create an organisation presence, invite members, assign roles and manage protected organisation assets where the relevant feature or entitlement is available.

Organisation administrators are responsible for granting access only to appropriate people, removing or changing access when roles change, and ensuring internal asset labels or identifiers are accurate.

Asset Tag public Recovery is designed not to expose private organisation, location or access information merely because a finder scans a tag. Internal identifiers and organisation information remain subject to the access and privacy controls provided by Li.

Any organisation pricing, subscription requirement, product quantity or additional commercial term that applies will be shown in the relevant order or organisation flow. These terms do not promise that every organisation feature will always be included free of charge.

10. Acceptable use

You must use Li lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with the service or the rights of others. In particular, you must not:

  • use Li for fraud, impersonation, unlawful surveillance, harassment or other unlawful activity;
  • attempt to access another user's, organisation's, finder's or administrator's information without permission;
  • probe, attack, overload, reverse-engineer or deliberately circumvent Li security or access controls except where the law expressly permits it;
  • submit malicious code or use automated systems to abuse Recovery, messaging, ordering, activation or account functions;
  • use a Li identifier or QR code to misrepresent the ownership or identity of an item; or
  • upload or publish content that is unlawful or that infringes another person's rights.

11. Orders, delivery, cancellation, returns and statutory rights

An order is subject to availability and acceptance. Stock may be reserved for a limited period while payment is pending. A reservation is not a guarantee of supply until the order has been successfully paid and accepted.

We aim to dispatch physical products within the timeframe shown during the order process or otherwise communicated to you. Where consumer law sets a delivery deadline or remedy, that law applies.

If you are a consumer buying online, you may have statutory rights to cancel a distance contract, including a 14-day cancellation period in many circumstances. Different rules and exceptions can apply depending on whether the contract concerns goods, services, digital content, or goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

Custom or personalised production: where you ask us to manufacture a product to your specifications — for example a Wallet Card engraved with information you have selected — statutory cancellation rights may be restricted once the relevant legal exception applies. We will not use this clause to remove a right that the law gives you.

Nothing in these terms affects your rights if goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet statutory requirements, or if a service is not provided with the standard required by law.

For a cancellation, return or problem with an order, contact support@logisticarlid.com and include the relevant order reference.

12. Service availability, maintenance and changes

We aim to keep Li available and responsive, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, hosting/network failures, internet connectivity, browser/device issues, security incidents or events outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect availability.

We may change, improve, replace or retire features where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, reliability, product development or operational reasons. Where a change materially affects a paid service during a period you have already paid for, we will take reasonable steps to avoid materially reducing what you purchased or provide an appropriate remedy where the law requires one.

13. Responsibility and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

If you use Li as a consumer

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made.

Li does not insure property. Subject to the paragraph above and to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, we are not responsible merely because a lost item is not found or returned, or for the value of property, keys, vehicles, luggage, locks, replacement locks, data or other belongings solely because they were lost, stolen or not recovered through Li.

If you use a consumer Li service for commercial or business purposes, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings to the extent the law permits.

If you use Li in the course of business

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings or loss of business opportunity arising from Li. Subject to liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited, our aggregate liability arising from a business user's use of Li in any 12-month period will not exceed the fees paid to us by that organisation for the affected Li service during that period.

14. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend an account, organisation, Recovery interaction or product where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse, investigate suspected fraud or security incidents, comply with law, enforce these terms, or protect the integrity of Li.

Where appropriate and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. We may act without advance notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary for security, safety, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Ending a Li account or Membership does not automatically erase records we are required or permitted to retain for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security or dispute purposes. Our Privacy Policy explains this further.

15. Intellectual property

Li's software, design, branding, documentation and platform content are owned by or licensed to LogistiCarl Systems Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you permission to use Li for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of the platform or branding to you.

You retain responsibility for content and information you submit. You grant us the limited permission necessary to host, process, reproduce or display that content solely to operate the Li feature you requested and as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Privacy and browser storage

Our Privacy Policy explains how LogistiCarl Systems Ltd handles personal information through Li. Our Cookie & Browser Storage Policy explains the limited first-party storage used to operate, secure and adapt the service.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Li develops or as law, regulation or our services change. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.

If a change materially affects an existing paid service or an ongoing subscription, we will provide notice where required and will not rely on a change to remove rights you already have under applicable law.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

If you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of a right to bring a claim in a court that applicable consumer law says may hear the dispute. If you are acting wholly in the course of business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule that applies.

If a problem arises, please contact us first so we have an opportunity to resolve it.
